How to use a target-date countdown

The title and target time are used only on the current page; when you copy the share link, they are written into the link parameters, but they are not uploaded or saved automatically.

  1. Set Target

Enter an event name and choose the target date and time according to the current device time zone.

  2. Start Countdown

Click Start or Update, and the page displays the remaining days, hours, minutes, and seconds based on the target timestamp, with background resynchronization when restored.

  3. Share or Reset

You can copy a link with a title and target time, or reset it to a new local target.

Limitations and Notes

  • The result depends on the device system time; manually changing the clock, clock drift, or system sleep/resume may cause the display to jump.
  • The input uses the device’s current time zone to interpret time; when crossing time zones or switching for daylight saving time, verify the absolute time shown on the page before sharing.
  • No background reminders after closing the page, and no notification permission is requested; this tool should not be the only reminder for legal deadlines, transactions, or safety events.

FAQ

What’s the difference from a regular countdown timer?

A normal countdown timer counts down a duration. This tool is fixed to a specific date and time, making it more suitable for events, birthdays, or deadlines.

What will the share link reveal?

The link parameters will include the title and target time you enter; do not put sensitive information in the title.

What happens when the target time has passed?

The countdown reaches zero and clearly shows that the target has been reached; it will not continue displaying negative numbers.
