Limitations and Notes
- Re-encoding may change the colors, compression quality, transparency, animation, and ICC profile, and cannot guarantee forensic-grade cleaning.
- Maximum file 20 MiB, 12MP, maximum side 8192px; damaged images or images with inconsistent MIME are rejected.
- The original file is not replaced. Object URL is used only on the current page and should be promptly released.

Will the original image be modified?
No, the tool only generates a locally re-encoded copy.
Will animations be preserved?
Re-encoding to a canvas usually outputs only a single frame; the tool clearly warns about the risk.
