How to Use a Random Password Generator

Passwords, passphrases, and PIN are generated only in the current browser’s memory and are never uploaded or saved.

  1. Select password type

Switch between random passwords, memorable passphrases, and PIN; random passwords are suitable for most website accounts by default.

  2. Adjust generation rules

Set the length, character types, or number of words; optionally exclude easily confused characters. The batch quantity is available in Advanced settings.

  3. Copy and store securely

Check the target website’s policy before copying the result, prioritize saving it in a trusted password manager, and do not reuse it.

Limitations and Notes

  • Entropy is estimated based on the generation space; it does not indicate that the target website will accept the password, nor does it guarantee a specific cracking time.
  • Memorable passphrases use the built-in English word list in the current version; high-value accounts should use more words and avoid publicly displaying the results.
  • This page cannot replace a password manager, multi-factor authentication, or the account security policies of the target system.

FAQ

Does every selected character appear?

Yes. Random mode first selects at least one character from each enabled character class, then securely fills and shuffles them.

Why is only one password generated by default?

A single result is better for quick copying; when you need to test data in batches, adjust the quantity in advanced settings.
