How to use screen recording
The screen and optional audio are recorded only in the current browser; the recording content is not uploaded.
Set recording parameters
Choose the frame rate, quality, countdown, and whether to request system audio or microphone access.
Authorize and record
After clicking Start, select a screen, window, or tab in the browser panel; you can pause, resume, or end the recording.
Replay and download
After stopping, play it back locally to verify it, then download the file in the format actually generated by the browser.
Limitations and Notes
- Must use HTTPS or localhost and be actively authorized by the user; the browser will not permanently save screen-sharing permission.
- System audio, microphone mixing, and available output formats depend on the browser and operating system.
- Long recordings use a considerable amount of memory; record in segments and download important content promptly.
FAQ
Why is there no system audio?
Some browsers only allow tab audio or do not provide system audio at all; check the audio options in the sharing panel.
What happens when the sharing panel is closed?
When the source track ends, the tool automatically stops recording, generates the current clip, and releases the media resources.
